An excellent resource for old UK radio program lists is Radio Listings (use index letters at bottom of page)
For listings of US old time radio shows, Digital Deli is authoritative but select, and has a handful of shows to listen to, whilst a large set of lists are at OTRSite.com. For more on old radio programs including downloads and streams take a look at my music page which has lots of other things on it too.
A superb radio comedy web site is an unofficial Just a Minute homage, with episode guide and transcripts.
A lot of classic British radio comedy is streamed on the internet by BBC Radio 7, and you can listen to some of it via the BBC's slightly risky javascript and flash dependent BBC I-player. The BBC dropped most RealPlayer streaming in October 2009.

I am fond of I Love Lucy which has not been shown in the UK for some time, and the radio program which
came before it, My Favorite Husband.
Another lovely tv show from the period was Bilko - or The Phil Silvers Show. It hasn't been seen on UK tv for some time but enjoy a visit to The British Phil Silvers Appreciation Society for lots of goodies (with the Silvers' family support).
Encyclopaedia of Television is US based but covers UK TV shows as well- indexes articles on shows and actors.
Keep track of new tv programs on DVD at TV Shows on DVD.com.
A rich resource of info on classical US cartoons is at Gold Age Cartoons.com
